About Your Counselor

I am so glad that you are exploring telemental health and that you have found my site and my service! My Community Mental Health degree came from Oakland University outside of Detroit, Michigan in 2015. I believe in a close relationship between behavioral and mental health.
Compassion, support, tools (coping skills), assurance. These are the things I strive to show you both from me and from yourself. So often we are our own harshest critic and I want to use my training to ignite your self kindness and confidence.

Change, growth, comfort, excitement. These are experiences I want you to have as a result of working on yourself through self care and other skills you learn through online counseling.

My experience treating anxiety and depression and stress including relationship stress is well rounded and extensive. I began consistently treating chronic pain and disordered sleep in physician's offices. I tend to use a combination of brief solution focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and person centered approach. Ultimately I will use any evidence based approach that I can safely provide and best fits your needs.

I have worked in a variety of settings, including public schools, and most recently worked as part of larger health teams in integrated care. Over the years I have continued to pursue Animal Assisted Therapy research and certifications and volunteered with different programs. I am certified to instruct therapeutic horseback riding through PATH Intl.

Through my experience with in-person counseling and my continuing education in different areas, I have come to respect the benefits and the power of online narrative and conversational counseling therapy. I am certified in telemental health and to counsel compassion fatigue through Evergreen certifications. I look forward to speaking with you and learning about the ripples of change in your life and facilitating hope in a bright and enjoyable future.
